Do you feel like you’ve been stuck in a rut for some time and not moving towards your health and fitness goals?
Today we’ll talk about getting out of that rut! Personally, I like establishing a routine. It makes me feel like everything is right in the world.
A routine allows us to accomplish all the things we need to get done in a day more efficiently.
Lives are built on establishing and following routines. We create an infrastructure of friends, gyms, coffee shops, roads we take to work, clothes stores we we shop in, brands we buy – and we form strong preferences and attachments for these things.
However … If all you ate for dinner was chicken, broccoli and sweet potatoes day after day, you’d be missing a TONNE of other important nutrients, vitamins and flavours!
Don’t let your life turn into a meal you eat over and over because it’s safe and familiar. There is always room for improvement and growth, for spices that add complexity and depths of flavour. That’s why we change up the menu every week here at 5.4 … to give you heaps of variety.
Have a think about the patterns you’ve created in your life and reassess if they are routines that are serving you as well today as they were when you created them.
If they are, how can you make them better?
If they are not, isn’t it time to create some new ones?
