Is it just me or can mornings sometimes be exhausting and hectic so much so that you just end up feeling like you got up on the wrong side of bed?

Tweak your morning routine to make your day happier and healthier!  Here are some tips:

Whatever you do, don’t hit snooze: Hitting snooze too many times actually makes it harder to wake up.  Get up when your alarm first goes off.

Set your alarm clock earlier:  I seem to be running around like a crazy person in the morning at the moment so set my alarm clock half an hour earlier.  It made an amazing difference to my morning!  Give it a go!

Do some morning cardio: A morning cardio session before having breaky can help boost your metabolism and your energy throughout the day.

Have everything ready: If you’re in the habit of getting your gym clothes and workout clothes the night before, getting out the door early is totally stress free. Just grab what you need and go.

Breathe: Before you run off on your busy day, take a moment to breathe — you’ll feel balanced and ready to start the day off right.

Avoid checking Insta, Facebook or your emails for awhile: Give yourself time before jumping on your iphone to check Insta, Facebook or emails. That way you won’t start the day off feeling super-stressed.

Pack your 5.4 meal in a cooler bag: Grab your 5.4 meal from the fridge.  It will help you keep on track with your health and fitness goals, save money and save calories. Winning!

Drink water: Have a big glass as soon as you wake up.  It will boost your metabolism, kickstart your digestion, help your immune system and help keep your skin clear.

Listen to music: Turning on the tunes can help you get energised and excited about the day ahead.

Don’t freak out: There’s no need to feel overwhelmed by the day ahead. Know that even your busiest day will come to an end.

Make a to do list: If you’ve got a lot on your plate, or you just want to make sure to squeeze in time for yoga class, write it all down. A to do list will help you keep on track and feel organised.
